PROSKUNEO INTERNSHIPS

(Timeline: 3 months - 1 year)

During this internship, you will connect with Christians from all over the world (primarily Africa and Southeast Asia), attend their worship services, learn their songs, and capture them so they can benefit the global Body of Christ. Strong relational skills are important.

1. Learn and capture songs in the language(s) of the geographic area
   • capture - record at least a demo of the song
   • obtain in written form lyrics in original language(s) and phonetics for the songs
   • obtain a translation and if possible back translation of the song
   • transcribe the song into western notation and/or chord sheets, if possible

2. Conduct ethnomusicology research in the community or chosen sub-community(s)

3. Seek out and build relationships with musicians and/or other creative people in the community and/or a chosen sub-community.

4. Help coordinate (organize/promote/lead/teach) at multicultural ethnodoxology focused events.
   (This could include songwriting workshops, song shares, collaborative composition sessions, seminars, concerts, exhibitions, producing an album of collected songs, etc... )

5. Participate in one or two music (or chosen creative medium) groups in the area.
   At least one must focus on a style and/or culture the intern is not familiar with.

Come, lead worship at least once a week for many different cultures and languages as they gather to exalt Jesus. You will work with other musicians and engage people from many different backgrounds

1. Oversee band invitations and rehearsals for events (under supervision).

2. Plan orders of worship for events (under supervision).

3. Coordinate powerpoint/sound for events.

4. Develop musical arrangements for events.

5. Lead worship during events (sometimes co-leading, sometimes solo).

Help us build relationships and find streams of funding for the work we are doing at Proskuneo.

1. Research potential foundations to benefit the ministries of Proskuneo Ministries.

2. Create database of research.

3. Contact foundations to inquire about their protocol for application.

4. Write and submit grant proposals for Proskuneo Ministries and specific programs.

5. Follow up on grants received, tracking all follow-up data needed to meet criteria of each foundation.

(Timeline: 3 months - 1 year)

Capture the community, the story, and the work of Proskuneo on video so that we can share the vision with others.

1. Record significant Proskuneo events.

2. Create/Edit videos for promotion, blogs, teaching prompts, illustrations, worship sessions, events, etc.

3. Directer a creative video project that involves community members and a specified art form (storytelling, documentaries, music, dance, etc,).

Capture the sounds of Proskuneo and our amazingly diverse community so that others can listen and learn.

1. Operate and maintain recording equipment and studio room.

2. Help lead Proskuneo recording projects from start to finish.
   • Brainstorm concepts with assigned staff
   • Enlist team members to help; train others in the process
   • Recording/Editing/Mixing/Mastering.

3. Record significant events/stories/happenings in Proskuneo.
   • recording/documenting happenings, cultural nuances in Clarkston.
   • using recording equipment to build relationships with worshipers in Clarkston.

Help us connect with people all over the world who want to (or could want to) know more about Proskuneo.

1. Develop an integrated Social Media plan and present to communications team by end of internship.
   • Working toward integration and clarity on all social media platforms
   • Looking for fresh forms, visuals and values.

2. Develop content and visuals for the website and blog.
   • work with staff/volunteers/friends to create content
   • manage content/look/function/schedule/tags/categories

3. Oversee weekly - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
   • Collaborate with communications team for posts
   • Produce new content and gather/refresh already made content

Come work with youth in our growing community. Through the arts, invest in students and young creatives in the Clarkston area with Proskuneo programs and weekly worship.

1. Teach classes, collaborate and assist in Proskuneo Youth programs (PAW, PYN, PWI, etc,).

2. Help with Student Recruitment/Registration/Processing/Communication.
   • Promote programs and events (online, fliers, community).

3. Assist with festivals and special creative arts events.
   • Help plan and facilitate a creative arts event in the community.

4. Attend our weekly worship gathering and assist as needed.
   • Facilitate breakout group for youth on occasion.
   • Lead a creative arts time, or element for worship.
