Proskuneo Worship Institute is inviting you to step away from the busyness of your life to focus on worshipping our Heavenly Father together from July 30 – August 2, 2020.
Proskuneo Worship Institute (PWI) is a space to be with other worshippers who use their art, music, dance, spoken word, songwriting, and other gifts to glorify our Creator God. We are created in His image to also create.
This year’s theme is “Flow.” What keeps you from worshipping God fully? What keeps you from offering your gifts to God freely? We will breathe deeply. We will create. We will worship.
The application deadline is June 15, 2020. Spaces are limited, so apply early!
A story from a former PWI student…
I’ve been a part of Proskuneo for years, but I got to participate in the Proskuneo Worship Institute (PWI) for the first time ever last summer. The theme was, “To Know and To Be Known” and it involved a lot of soul care and looking inside ourselves…something I’ve never been good at, if I’m honest. I began to ask myself a new question, “How do I see myself?”. Throughout my time at PWI, I discovered a lot about myself that I didn’t know was there. I had a lot of hatred… for myself! I blamed myself for things that happened in the past that I had no control over, and had emotionally abused myself for years. At PWI, I was able to learn healthy ways to express my emotions and feelings and began to dig out a lot of the lies and junk that I had told myself for years.
For my creative assignment, I wrote an apology song to myself for all the years of self-abuse. I would say that PWI was life changing for me as I learned the importance of caring for my soul and loving myself and seeing myself as God sees you. I left PWI with a fresh mind and a fresh love remembering that no matter what, God loves me and is rooting for me. He wants me to succeed and to live for Him. He wants me to worship Him freely, without limits and lies and boxes.
