Heidi Thomas [assistant to the president]
Accepting Christ…
Heidi Thomas came to know the Lord at a very young age.
“My older sister had a pretty radical life change when she gave her life to Jesus and I remember noticing that as a child. She explained to me what salvation in Christ meant and I was moved to making a decision at that point.“
Passionate about…
God continues to be the center of Heidi’s life as you see her love for God and for people. This is further evidenced by her desire to intercede for people in prayer, her servant heart, and her desire to see unity in the body of Christ.
“When I think that our God, who created the vast expanses of the universe and everything in it, delights in relationship with us, His created beings, I am awestruck. Prayer, for me, is my connection with Him.“
Getting involved with Proskuneo…
As a young woman, Heidi grew in her love for missions work and God’s redeeming work all around the world. She began serving on the Board of Directors for Proskuneo Ministries in 2004, and became the first full time staff person in 2006.
She now serves as the Assistant to the President, Josh Davis, along with her duties as a Board Member. Proskuneo is a place for Heidi to pursue her passions for God’s glory.
Heidi’s heart for multicultural worship…
She could go on for days talking about how multicultural worship has impacted her life, but Heidi sums it all up by saying:
“Can you imagine being together worshiping around the throne of God with believers from every tribe and language and people and nation? I believe all of these groups are mentioned in the Revelation 5 passage because they are all close to the heart of God.
I believe we can experience a glimpse of that worship here on earth as it is in heaven. I believe strongly in the mission and vision of Proskuneo Ministries: Bringing nations together in worship.
It is an overwhelming blessing to be a small part of what God is doing through the Proskuneo community, and to serve in God’s Kingdom for the glory and fame of our Lord Jesus, with some of the dearest people in the world.”
